Dr. Luu Doan, to begin with, is from Southern California. At eight years old, his family left Southern California to live in Connecticut. His primary, junior, and higher education were in Santa Ana and he later studied at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. He went to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center after graduating from Yale. He finished his medical degree in the upper third of his class. After Med School, Dr. Doan then went on his surgical training at the University of Arizona in Tucson where he did his internship, residency, and chief residency training in General Surgery. He was a fellow in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Dartmouth Medical Center in New Hampshire. He eventually went back to South California in 2003.

With his credentials, Dr. Doan is one of the leading surgeons not only in Los Angeles but in the field of cosmetic plastic surgery in general. He is not only educated and trained in premier Universities; he is also a professional surgeon who has successfully gone through numerous challenges and difficulties in cosmetic surgical procedures.

Among his expertise are in chin cosmetic surgeries such as chin implantation, liposuction, reduction, double chin surgery, and chin lift. He has done roughly five thousand successful surgeries in his five-year professional career as cosmetic plastic surgeon.

He believes in honesty and candor with patients. In fact he has always been frank about the feasibility of the procedures. This way, the patients can prepare themselves for what lies ahead. Dr. Doan also maintains that while cosmetic surgery can enhance a patient’s physical appearance, a surgical patient should be mentally stable so he or she can go through the recovery phase with ease and determination.
